Dr. Jayaraj Viswanathan

Dr. Jayaraj Viswanathan, soon after MBBS, completed Surgical Training as SHO in the UK. Later entered the Radiology training program and transferred his surgical skills into Interventional Radiology for 6 years, culminating in FRCR from Royal College of Radiologists, London & CCT from General Medical Council, UK. Gained experience as a Consultant in Interventional Radiology at Leicester University Hospitals in the UK, moved to India in 2016.

Dr. Jayaraj Viswanathan currently provides expert IR services with modern state-of-the-art equipment at V.S.Hospitals, Chennai. He is skilled in complex Ultrasound and CT-guided biopsies & drainages, embolization for tumors& emergency bleeding in all viscera, ablation of tumors, endovascular stenting for aortic aneurysms, and peripheral vascular disease, biliary, kidney & ureteric drainage & stenting. In addition, Dr. Jayaraj plays a pivotal role as Onco-radiologist in the multi disciplinarytumor boards in diagnosing and staging of cancer.
